Ardestan city with an area of 11591 square kilometers and a population of 45150 people located 118 kilometers northeast of Isfahan province. The city consists of 2 districts, 3 cities, 7 rural and 306 inhabited villages.
The center of this city is Ardestan. The geographical location of the city of Ardestan is located in the eastern part of Isfahan and southeast of the plain of Kavir, located 110 kilometers northeast of Isfahan city and on the slopes of Mount Karkas.

Measures have been taken to identify and extract mines in this city and resources have been extracted, but due to lack of quality or low yield, most of them have been shut down. These mines include:
